| 301960 | 2004-12-11 19:47:00 | ARGH, NONONONO. If your friend has a budget of around $400, then the Geforce 6600GT is his best bet. It will definitely beat the living crap out of any other similarly priced ($350-$400) card, including the 9800pro and XT. It is definitely faster than any of the other cards mentioned in this thread. The Geforce FX series are awful, and the 6600GT IS faster than any other midrange/budget card on the market. Also, the Geforce 6800 (vanilla) is priced around $600- that is the best card you can get for that budget. It's much faster than the 6600GT. |
