2004-12-13 21:33:00 | You probably wouldn't notice much difference not matter how you set it up. However, if you have a DVD burner, I'd be inclined to set it up as Master on one of the channels.

2004-12-13 21:42:00 | also with a dvd rom as most of the time setting a burner on a slave will cause it to skip and miss files / coppupt files or on a dvd rom skip and you will see a glitch on the playback screen | noone (22) | |
2004-12-13 21:52:00 | cheers guys, my current thinking (which i just wanted to check) was setting them as master on individual channels would be the better option, free flow of data if ever disk to disk /ing - ifn thats allowed | bjocque (1064) | |
2004-12-13 23:04:00 | I vaguely remember that if you want to copy a cd or dvd 'on the fly' it's faster if they're on seperate channels. | Spout (6433) | |
2004-12-13 23:31:00 | Just as long as either a cd or dvd arent on the same channel as an IDE hdd, (which u wont be using for IDE hdd's anyway), its fine. Either master on both IDE 1 and 2, or master and slave on primary or secondary IDE. It doesnt really matter.
