302597 2004-12-13 09:17:00 tried the early ages ago, not bad but lacking some major features (they may have those features by now) tweak'e (174)
302598 2004-12-13 09:36:00 Thanks Prescott/tweak'e

I will download it & give it a try (it sounds better then Flashget) (Plus it was in this months NZ Netguide)

If any one else has used it, comments?

302599 2004-12-13 18:31:00 I too have used it for ages, and it works well for me - I haven't tried many other download managers though, so I don't have much of a basis for comparison. The Firefox integration used to be very iffy, but that seems to be OK now.

302600 2004-12-13 22:47:00 I don't know about Fresh Download but I tried Flashget on another comp once and couldn't even figure out how to use it. Ditched it as it didn't get me out of the hole I was in anyway.

Course could be a case of RTFM. :D

Goes like greased lightning for me. Only time there are probs I have found it to be the download site rather than the software.

302603 2004-12-14 04:20:00 Because these "accelerators" work by opening multiple sessions, they can overload the servers. All FTP servers have a limit on the number of sessions active at any time. Some sites limit the number of sessions any user can have. This is to be fair to everyone. Graham L (2)
