302532 2004-12-13 02:32:00 Unable to connect to a file share. For eg, Bearshare or e-Donkey , as it tells me timed out or connecting or unable to connect! I'm running XP Pro, & use Mozilla browser & are connected to another PC as we're shasring jetstream with a Dynalink Router koolme2 (6385)
302533 2004-12-13 02:36:00 You propably need to direct the ports to the correct PC on which you are running your p2p program on. For eMule on mine I had to redirect 6 ports (TCP/UDP) to the IP address where the program was running on.
The other thing you could do would to use the DMZ of the router to forward all ports not otherwise asking to the one IP address of the PC in question.

302534 2004-12-13 02:45:00 And if u have SP2 for XP installed, that wont help either. As MS lowered the TCPIP stack, whatever it is from 20 to 10 in SP2. And this was to reduce worms etc like when u use P2P programs Spacemannz (808)

Made no difference here at all. In fact it goes a lot faster now that I have a 2MB connection.
