302668 2004-12-14 08:26:00 Thanks John.

I've had a thought. Doesn't happen often. ;) My problem is my PC has had a reinstall, so all the old programs are sitting in "Old PC". Including Office 2000.

When I try to install Word from the CD, I'm told the key is invalid. Could the installer see the existing copy and therefore refuse a second install?

Not that the original is installed as such. It is just sitting there. And it won't run from the icon in Old PC.

I might just use Open Office.

Winston,

Totally un related, if it sees the other, you would get an allready installed, or upgrade type message.
