302639 2004-12-13 20:26:00 Okay I've installed Fedora Core 3 - looks pretty good and runs like a dreamy dream....and as with every other linux install I've ever done I always seem to have a problem.

I tried to install apt and synaptic, install goes through the initial motions but then I get this error (sal.neoburn.net). It says something about public key not available?

Incidently I was following this guide (fedoranews.org) which was posted in this (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) thread.

Any thoughts and tips appreciated....

cheers

302640 2004-12-14 02:10:00 I used to just use -f back in the days of Redhat.... Means "Force it".

302641 2004-12-14 04:47:00 Hi Chiefnz

You need to install the public key for freshrpm's. Just open up a terminal window su - to root and enter in this:

rpm --import freshrpms.net
I've got apt-get and synaptic running on FC3 and it is quite good. :)

Its interesting to read their note on why they dont include the livna repo in that. Shame they cant all get on really. :)
