304318 2004-12-17 03:44:00 Well my machine is set to NZ DST, Wellington and Auckland, Greenwich +12
as are my user settings for the forum.

The way the thread times are at the moment in a 12 hour clock you can't tell whether it was posted just this minute or twelve hours ago.... :help:

304319 2004-12-17 03:54:00 By definition, 12:00 p.m. is 12 hours after ("post") noon ("meridian"). That is midnight. By definition, 12:00 a.m. is 12 hours before ("ante") noon. That is midnight (of yesterday). I don't think I've ever seen the correct 12 hour usage where there isn't a 12:00 ANYTHING. You should count up to 11:59:59.999 AM/PM then start again 0:0:0.001 PM/AM.

That's why the 24 hour clock is used. It isn't ambiguous. It can be wrong, but not ambiguous. :nerd:

304320 2004-12-17 07:12:00 Jack, sorry, but I find it really weird how you have made so many negative comments regarding this new forum. These guys and gals have done enormous amounts of work to get the forum up and running. Be thankful for what you have! We pay nothing to come here... ~sy~ (95)
304321 2004-12-17 08:01:00 Time is 100% bang-on for me (I lie, about 15 seconds fast). My PC synchronises from time.windows.com. george12 (7)
304322 2004-12-17 17:53:00 Why is your clock an hour and seven minutes slow? :badpc: :badpc:
And why do the emoticons not working?
Jack
I know I am not mad. I may be half blind but I can tell the time.
This morning, without making any changes to my settings, your clock is telling the correct time.
Is PF1 just taking it's time about settling down or is someone playing games?
I see now that emoticoms do not appear until they are posted. Or at least mine don't.
Jack
Behave or you are for the tip. :badpc:
