2004-12-16 09:47:00 I have been sent an mp4 video "filmed" on a camera phone but I can't view it. The sender can view it with QuickTime and even though I have downloaded the latest versions of QuickTime and QuickTime Alternative neither will play it. Windows Media Player and ZoomPlayer also can't play it and G-Spot doesn't know what to do with it.

Is this likely to be a corrupted download or do I need to do something else to view it?

2004-12-16 10:02:00 Quicktime should play MPEG layer 4 files natively - when installing make sure the Internet Extras option is ticked - there are usually extra codecs in there :) HadO (796)
2004-12-16 10:10:00 MPeg 4 is DivX/XviD so try divx.com or divxmovies.com for the Divx download Chilling_Silence (9)

2004-12-16 21:03:00 I downloaded DivX but WMP still can't play the video so I think it must be corrupted. Will ask for it to be sent again. topazz (6559)
2004-12-17 00:59:00 Try downloading and installing the k-lite mega codec pack it has every codec you will need and none of the spyware that comes with a lot of others. Then try playing the file, if it doesn't play after that then it may very well be corrupt. :puppydog: :help: Odin (227)
