304898 2004-12-17 23:14:00 ... does it honestly need to provide adequate user configurability in a forum? PressF1 now installed TEN in my system, despite my settings only allowing cookies from the originating site, and that's not including the third party cookies that try to invade.

Previous forum used to have about four only. It's bloody ridiculous

Don't they have to be 99.25% fat free to be classed as "lite"? :stare:

304902 2004-12-18 00:11:00 Oh darn! So now they are only lite(ish) cookies? Don't eat 'em all at once Greg. :( R2x1 (4628)
304903 2004-12-18 03:40:00 Has any one also noticed that we are now being tracked. Every time I close a window from the Press F1 site I get a request to connect to http://acvsrv.mediaonenetwork.net, they are using some sort of pixel to track us. :annoyed: Alpha (3520)

Not if you have adblock with Firefox - it's faster with that and a couple of other sites blocked. Worked on the old PF1 too.

304905 2004-12-18 04:08:00 OK people,

that's probably enough to put me off coming here anymore... annoying pop-out TV ads... cookies for Africa... tracking thingies. We are humans, not some marketing experiment- even if it is a free forum that the Mods etc put a lot of effort into :angry
