| 304801 | 2004-12-17 09:50:00 | Was trying to install Office 2003 for a client but the installation halted halfway through with error message something like : "Cannot find file ZF561410.CAB" But when checking the CD, this file is there. Unfortunately, the installation wizard cannot read this file. Can I use another copy of the CD (if I have) with different CD Key to complete the installation? Cheers |

The CD Key is not stored or associated with the actual CD, but has a relationship only to the version and licence type (OEM, Academic etc). So another CD of the same version and type would work fine with the CD key. The -exact- error would help, if it continues to occur. |

And it will accept a key from any version of Office 2003, ie full, OEM or education (or whatever it is called) versions? I don't know how Office behaves but you can't install or repair an early version of Windows XP with a Win XP SP1/2 CD using the original Win XP licence key. The licence keys are tied to the version of Windows being used. |

Copy the persons files from CD to his/her HD, then replace the ZF561410.CAB file with the one on your CD if necessary. |
