I now want to use yahoo messenger to webcam and chat (Voice) with relatives.
The yahoo thingy says I can't access voice or cam because I have a firewall.
I disabled sygate and still got the same message
Is xp firewall blocking me

I really appreciate your help

305284 2004-12-18 23:28:00 You should disable XP's firewall and keep Sygate on. Most firewalls have a "learn" mode, where you will get prompted to allow or disallow any incoming or outgoing packets, so see if you've got this option, activate it and try again. If it asks you for permission to let your programmes to connect to Yahoo, allow it and create a permanent rule, then just reset your firewall to how it was before. Greg (193)
305285 2004-12-19 03:10:00 Do you have SP2? I think it's more likely to be the default Windows XP firewall. ~sy~ (95)
