Hi there - have just loaded & started playing HL2 but have just discovered that my fingers are not as nimble as when I last played the original Half Life.Decided to dust off the old Dual Strike controller but was unable to load the software as it only worked as far a Windows 98. A visit to the Microsoft site was unable to assist with any updated software being available. Does anybody know of any site which might have software available to update to enable using this controller to Win XP?? failing that, what controlers, if any, do others use when playing HL2 style games?? |

Being a Microsoft product, are you sure its not supported in XP automatically? Have you tried to see if XP will load its own drivers? |

Windows XP loads the driver for the controller (using USB Port) but am able to use it for limited movements only. It seems you need to be able to load the software to be able to assign movements/actions/functions to the various keys and configure speed of turns etc and fire buttons. |
