Unlikely. If it is an ultra it would say so on the packageing.

I think so too. Plus, according to the info I see on Price Spy listings, the Ultra version made by Gigabyte has a 550Mhz core.

306537 2004-12-22 00:34:00 That is not the Ultra version, that is the standard 9600XT flavor. I believe the card you are looking for is this one (tw.giga-byte.com)

hope that helps you a bit more

306538 2004-12-22 04:14:00 so the only difference between the two cards is the 50mhz core speed difference - is it really worth spending the xtra to just have 50mhz more noone (22)
306539 2004-12-23 07:40:00 Well to be perfectly honest you're better off trying to get a Radeon 9800 Pro, does quite a bit better than the 9600XT ultra. Another option may also be to wait a little bit longer and see if any of the newer x600 or x800 cards start going for a lower price.

There's no real point buying the 9600XT Ultra, but that also depends on what you do with your PC, I'm assuming you're a bit of a gamer, if that's true then I'd definitely hold on to my pennies if I were you and get a 9800 Pro, X600 or X800 card.

cheers

306541 2004-12-23 10:46:00 There is an AGP version of both the X600 and X800. ~sy~ (95)
