| 306243 | 2004-12-21 06:50:00 | Hi, I've just installed Windows 2003 Server Web Edition on a machine, set up the website it is going to be running, and tried to set up an FTP account to the root of the site. However, whenever ANY user tries to log in, I get: 530 User <username> could not log in Happens to guests, administrators, etc. I've tried anonymous and regular logins, no luck. I went through all the suggestions on the article below, and no luck. support.microsoft.com (support.microsoft.com) Any ideas? Getting pretty desperate here! Cheers, Erin |

| 306246 | 2004-12-22 01:03:00 | Won't the log files give hints? This is a security error, so the message user gets is deliberatly minimal. The log files, which are intended for the system administrator, should be more informative about the actual security error. | Graham L (2) | ||
