306122 2004-12-21 02:25:00 Kodak CX7330 digital camera.

Numerous contacts with Kodak via phone and e-mail have so far been negative in fixing problem.

Loaded software (Easyshare) on PC running WinME but it would not upload pics.
Went to Kodak help page, it was suggested that maybe a fault was in the files on the CD Rom and to delete and download latest version of software from Kodak.

Still no joy.

Loaded software on 2nd PC running XP, worked ok for about 4 days however have now recieved a warning telling me that an error has occured and "Windows is closing down to prevent damage to your PC"

The error was shown as being ' Symevent.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area'

The whole saga has been a bit larger than that but in the interests of brevity have cut the details down as much as possible.

Any assistance would be appreciatted.

Regards

306123 2004-12-21 02:41:00 Symevent.sys is part of Nortons AV 2003. And most probably some other Symantec program. Sounds like this is whats causing the prob.

It might be corrupted.

Is it up to date whatever program u have?? Have u scanned for viruses/trojans/spyware lately??

306124 2004-12-21 02:46:00 I remember when i first got my Kodak digital camera, and the god awful trouble I had in trying to get pictures transferred over.

In the end I completely deleted all reference to Kodak on the pc and re-installed from scratch.

You will need to do a search of the HDD for all kodak*.* files and also do a search in the /windows/inf directory for text "kodak" in the files and either delete or rename these files. Also need to check the registry for all refernces for kodak and delete the keys that you find.

Hope this helps in one way or another. :2cents:
