306455 2005-01-06 07:16:00 Just as an aside, I do hear the same old problem if I use the Windows Media Encoder 9. Wait 2 to 3 minutes and the sound goes. Peter1970 (6646)
306456 2005-01-06 16:03:00 Thanks Peter,
I actually figured out that in addition to the ATI drivers I needed to install MMC 9 . 0 . 3, Hydravision, and Remote control . The ATI website is very confusing .

So, after uninstalling the old software and installing all the new I still had the same problem, audio out of sync with video .

At this point I gave up . I shut down the computer last night and went to bed . When I fired her up this morning, viola!, no more problem . The MMC system check reported that the clock stability was good . It seems the hard reboot was needed to finish the job .

I'll capture some video later to see if its true .

306458 2005-01-08 21:06:00 Have a look here. This is the support site from my PC and

http://www.service.targa.co.uk/

There is a new driver there which seems a lot better for me, so far. I have even streamed usind the media encoder and the sound still seems OK.

306459 2005-01-09 13:39:00 I have just spent the last day succesfully backing up a whole load of old VHS with complete success. This new driver is the key. I hope it works for you too. Peter1970 (6646)
