306868 2004-12-23 07:31:00 tried another program (like ultimatezip)? Edward (31)
306869 2004-12-23 07:39:00 Does the downloaded file match the file size given on the download site? Just wondering if the file was corrupted during download. I see there are no md5sums given to use to check this. Jen (38)

Does the md5sum need to be there to use Shift-T to test the archive file for corruption (in WinZip)?

306871 2004-12-24 02:52:00 I tried Shift-T and this came up

Errors were detected -- see below for details

Testing ...
testing: Readme.txt OK
testing: RCT2_Demo.exe Error: invalid compressed data to inflate
At least one error was detected in E:\Program Files\Downloads\rct2demo.zip.

hope that helps

306872 2004-12-24 02:57:00 That means that the downloaded file is corrupted. There's nothing you can do about it. Try downloading another copy. Is there another site you could get it from? Graham L (2)
306873 2004-12-28 04:32:00 Like Graham says, the file is corrupted and needs to be re-downloaded preferably from another source). I have an old version (shareware) of PKZip for Windows, which is often able to 'fix' corrupted files. If that fails, re-download it. Judging by the subject line, I was wondering if you were referring to the demo on the CD that came with this month's PC World! (now that would be bad...) D. McG (3023)
306874 2004-12-28 08:54:00 try re downloading it that usually works Codex (3761)
