| 306776 | 2004-12-22 09:10:00 | Evening, i have a gecube radeon 9600SE graphics card and i want to know the temperature it gets up to, i have read in places people getting xx°C but what program do they use to read these temperatures?, im currently running my card on omega drivers and want to see what overclocks it can get (very little i know :annoyed: ) os is xp there is nothing on the disc that i got with my graphics card, only drivers. :annoyed: |

| 306777 | 2004-12-22 09:49:00 | You cant get temp readings on the 9600SE, only the 9600XT/9800XT upwards were capable of giving temp readings. Alot of motherboards come with small temp diodes designed to be place near the CPU core to gain a temp reading for the CPU. You could instead use this to monitor the temp of your video card. I wouldnt worry about a temp reading for a 9600SE they run very cool, alot are actually passively cooled. Touch the HSF and as long as its not too hot to touch then things should be fine. If your really worried about temps then you could rip the HSF off and reapply thermal compound. | Pete O'Neil (6584) | ||
| 306778 | 2004-12-22 09:57:00 | aahh i see, as i was waiting for a reply i saw on google that there was a mention of the 9600XT but no SE, well thanks anyway :) i might try this ATI Tool that i have seen mentioned around here. ive got plenty of cooling in my case so that will be fine, cheers |
