308000 2004-12-27 05:04:00 Hi folks.
Some web sites, when opened using Firefox are not displaying all details.
For example - if I go to www.realenz.co.nz , the map of New Zealand that one can click on to select a region is not there. All I get is a small 7 mm square, which has a symbol inside indicating that the picture is missing. If I right click on that square, from the drop down box I click on "view images" an "Alert " notice appears - "This file/map/NZ Public.gif cannot be found"

If I open that website with IE the map appears.

Can anyone tell me why it doesnt appear in Firefox.
Thanks Smithie

308001 2004-12-27 05:34:00 It might be because java isnt installed for firefox??

You may have java installed for ie/windows, but opera/firefox, doesnt use this, so I found out. You have to install the sun java.

308002 2004-12-27 05:40:00 Smithie, I just checked, and I can see the map, and I am using Firefox, so I would check your options and make sure you have not turned off pics somehow.

It isn't due to Java. I don't have Java installed and I can view the map in Opera and in Firefox.

As Supergran has said other settings need to be checked, including ad-blockers, etc. You also need to check that you have the latest version of Firefox installed.
