307836 2004-12-26 19:51:00 I know the feeling lol. There's also the Itunes update if u use that as the CD version is older than the one on the site. Which is 20mb

Altho, I think there are other programs that can sync with the Ipod around.

307838 2004-12-26 20:09:00 Oh didnt take too long for me to configure it, and add the songs, but a while later, the stupid program (Itunes) thought I was using the Ipod as an hdd (there's an option in Itunes, so u can copy as if the Ipod were an hdd and it gives it a letter).

LOL that took a while to figure out as the option use as an hdd was greyed out. I couldnt untick it. And i couldnt copy the songs to the Ipod.

BUT the upgrade thing is OK. Kinda like SP2 lol a whole os.

307839 2004-12-26 23:09:00 Do we really need update thread for every thing going? People do them for AV Software, Spyboy, Windows, now iPods?

Where does it stop, or should people be posting everytime Motherboard Manufacturer A increases the BIOS revision by 0.01?

Hey Lighten up Ninja.. I get annoyed at all the AVG and Spware update threads, but ones like this that only come around every 3-6 months are okay

307844 2005-01-29 12:16:00 New iPod Updater 2005-01-11...

Has anyone successfully updated their Ipod on win xp? I have a Gen 3 and when I updated itunes from the previous version that came with the Ipod it corrupted it and I had to wipe it and reinstall the previous version of itunes so that my pc would even recognise the ipod.

I think it is a problem with having mis-matching firmware and itunes version.

So I'm guessing that this updater will update the firmaware on my ipod?

I've read various similar experiences on various ipod related sites but have yet to really find a definate answer to the problem.

If anyone has any ideas?? That would be great.

Mantis.
