307763 2004-12-26 14:06:00 Whenever I forward an email Mozilla thunderbird puts the original email as an attachment.
I don't want it to be an attachment.I want it to be displayed in the body of the message so that when i forward the email. The person whos receiving the email can simply read it without opening any files.

Is there anyway I can disable the Forward attachment thing?

Select "Tools" then click on "Options"

It seems like this isn't always working.
Sometimes the messages are inline sometimes as an attachment. I'm a new thunderbird user, so I can't tell much about the conditions when it's inline and when it's not.
The last mail it didn't want to forward inline had this conditions :
"
Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=Apple-Mail-2--45278960
Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v553)
X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.553)
"

Anyone?

307766 2005-02-01 18:43:00 This seems to happen when the message you are forwarding with Thunderbird has been sent using the Mac mail program and it was sent as Rich Text (HTML)
If the message you are forwarding was in plain text there is no problem.

I have done some testing by sending messages from Mac Mail in Rich Text and Forwarding with Thunderbird and they do appear not to be sent inline as the text is not visible when forward is selected and it shows an attachment but when the message is sent and then received the text shows inline so it does not appear to be actually sending as an attachment only.

Have you checked with the recipient if they can read it inline or if they have to open an attachment.
If they have a problem you could make sure the person who is sending you the messages with Mac Mail only sends in plain text and you will not have any problem forwarding them inline with Thunderbird
