307529 2004-12-26 03:18:00 We have had some work done on this computer using XP Home W Media Player 10.
We have now got two My Musics, 1) My Music, which has the original Playlist, 2) A new "Shortcut to My Music" with any new stuff I put on The shortcut is actually on My Music, which has to be opened first.
Is it possible to combine the two? Perhaps bring both Musics onto the screen & drag them across, then delete the shortcut? Thanks. PJ :D

If I read this right when you open "My Music" there are a list of your music files and also another folder called 'shortcut to My Music'. In this folder there is more music that is different from the ones in the main folder?

If so then a simple way (I think anyway) would be to open up this shortcut to my music folder. Leave it open then click on Start and open My Music folder again. Having the 2 folders open on your desktop drag over the files from shortcut folder to the main folder. Once complete - delete the shortcut folder and all contents.

First off
Open My Music folder,
Next open "shortcut to My Music" folder
Leave this open so you can see the songs we want to move.

Next we need to open the My Music folder again.

Now you should have 2 folders open (My Music & shortcut to "My Music). Just move them around on your desktop so you can see both at the same time and they are not overlapping each other.

Next drag the songs from 'shortcut to My Music' and drop them in the 'My Music' folder. Repeat this until all the songs are gone.

If there are too many of them then...

Click once on the first song in the 'shortcut to My Music' folder to highlight it. Then press ctrl+a.

This will highlight all the songs in this 'shortcut to My Music' folder.

This will allow you to drag ALL of the songs to the 'My Music' folder at once.

307536 2004-12-26 23:47:00 SAM M....Maryann here. Thankyou...all done. A handsome, extremely intellingent "young" computer tec we know, had explained all this to us (hadn't you, Metla) but it just "floated away" within 5 mins of us being told.

Now all sorted and another learning curve that our grandchildren already can do.....but they aren't here right now.

Enjoy your day....it's lovely here at the moment. Thanks again. PJ and Maryann
