307499 2004-12-25 21:50:00 I'm connected via my on-board LAN to an ethernet port on a Puretek PT-3812 ADSL modem/router.
Everything works fine except the connection just stops from time to time, for no apparent reason. The link status lights on my PC (by the LAN port) stay lit, as well as the one on the router, but the data just stops!
If I reboot the PC, everything is back to normal. Unplugging and replugging the LAN cable doesn't start the link again, nor does disabling and enabling the local area connection. Only a reboot will start it again, which is very time consuming and frustrating.
I'm running Windows 2000 Pro, GB m/b, AMD XP2700 CPU, 1Gb ddr ram.
I've tried plugging into the other 3 ports on the router - same prob. The other PC that's using the USB port on the router doesn't seem to have this problem.

307500 2004-12-25 22:19:00 You could possibly try uninstalling and then re-installing the LAN drivers. Check the Gigabyte site for updated drivers.

I had the same problem when I bought my current Asus mobo, I updated the drivers and I haven't had any problems since.

Thanks guys for the ideas, I'll look into both.
