307903 2004-12-25 01:26:00 just lately ive been getting this blue & white error screen pop up which tells me either my hardware or software is not installed properly causing the machine to shut down, ive uninstalled all software and hardware but to no avail. upon reboot i get this "the system has recovered from a serious error" message. what do i need to do? panamation (6679)
307904 2004-12-25 02:08:00 You really need the exact error message to get some help .
Have a look thru these errors to see if any are the same as yours.

307905 2004-12-25 02:35:00 thanks but there was nothing much there that could help me, it shuts down my pc every now and then but i really dont have enough time to gather info on what exact error it is. panamation (6679)
307906 2004-12-25 03:17:00 What os are you using?

If you have xp go start /control panel/ Administartive tools and then Event Viewer and see what that says .
Also go/start/ then right click my computer and select advanced then startup and recovery you can change the time that error messages appear on your screen which may help.

307908 2004-12-25 07:02:00 nah it'll be a hardware prob................ram/cpu overheating/mobo dying/vid card throwing a fit..............something along those lines.......... drcspy (146)
307909 2004-12-25 08:09:00 is it possible to get a screenshot and get that error number(if there is one), i has similar problems with my graphics card, and always used to get those "the system has recovered from a serious error" messages, i reinstalled windows and it worked. is there any new hardware you have added recently?

what are your pc spec's?

as drcspy suggests, have you tried different ram? or is there enough cooling, oh and also did you overclock your system?

307910 2004-12-25 23:04:00 Go to System Properties (Windows key+Pause) > Advanced > Startup and recovery and remove the tick from Automatically restart and you should then have more time to view the error message.

You could also allow your computer to send an error report to Microsoft if it asks to do so as it sometimes reports back to you what program, if any, caused the conflict.

307911 2004-12-25 23:40:00 but with these "the system has recovered from a serious error" messages, it should say what hardware are causing the problem Prescott (11)

I checked out event viewer and here are some of the error reports, cheers.
