1377140 2014-06-14 12:34:00 Just came to notice that there's an unidentified icon on my Desktop as shown below:

Right-clicked has no option to delete it.

What is this?

1377142 2014-06-14 21:35:00 Showed up on my work PC can't remove it, it stayed for around 2 weeks then went away all on its own again gary67 (56)
1377143 2014-06-14 22:26:00 Thanks, Lawrence for the link. There seems to have no answer to as why it appeared.

Probably that's why China Government rejects Windows 8? :D

gary67: It just went away on its own?

1377144 2014-06-14 22:36:00 Just checked my desktop that the 'homegroup' icon is gone!

What is happening?

Anybody knows what's getting on?
bk T (215)
1377145 2014-06-14 23:20:00 Its windows got it self slightly confused with Network and Homegroup. WHat has happened is for some reason its put the homegroup icon instead of a normal Network Icon.

5769

To change/remove it, right click the desktop / Personalize / top left change desktop Icons, tick/untick the network Option

5770

It then usually ( or should) disappear and the actual Network Icon appear if selected, if you dont want the network Icon then leave it unticked. ( you may need to refresh the desktop - right click - Refresh)

You DONT need to alter any reg keys.

1377146 2014-06-14 23:20:00 Perhaps the NSA have got what they wanted and have signed off

Just something different, had Adobe Flash player wanting to update after start up as sometimes happens

What caught my eye during install was the installing of McAfee Security Scan, killed it and went to Glary's Utilities did a software scan and showed Adobe flash Player update

Went ahead and no McAfee Security Scan was with this version

A lot are going to end up with this crapware without even knowing it

Keep a eye out

Forgot to add this forums.adobe.com

1377147 2014-06-15 00:07:00 If you went here (get.adobe.com)and didnt untick Mcafee it'll install

If you want the full install go here (helpx.adobe.com)

The install for IE (except Win8) and other browsers is down the bottom
