| 1376992 | 2014-06-12 01:48:00 | Hi guys. I have a Panasonic CF-50 Toughbook, with 1 GB ram and XP. As I have updated a Netbook, thats working well, but I've tried a few version on this Toughbbok and they all fail with the following message:- Error: PAE is disabled on his Pentium M. (PAE can potentially be enabled with kernel parameter. "forcepae" - this is unsupported, may cause unknown problems, and will taint the kernel) This kernel required the following features not present on the CPU: pae Unable to boot-please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Ian |

If you're willing to look away from a Ubuntu variant, but still keep it Debian based, I think Linux Mint Debian should work. www.linuxmint.com |

Trying to setup wireless and got a box that wants the SSID, I've done that. Now wants the Mode, BSSID, Device MAC address and Cloned MAC address. I'm at a loss with the last 3. So can anyone help, please? So so much easier setting up the netbook, all I had to was put in the password. |
