I do a custom install every time (where possible) and make sure I untick any unnecessary options.

I was surprised to find that the driver CD with my new Gigabyte MB had Norton AV and a Google toolbar as well as the MB drivers if one clicked express install you got the lot.

Works great to make the Windows 7 or Windows 8 taskbars function just like in Windows XP.

Save the money and give me a socketed BIOS chip or give it an ICSP header.
