1376726 2014-06-07 09:25:00 Hi

For the last two days I do not seem to be having much luck with anything to do with Google. This includes using the search engine where a page can randomly take a long time to load or not load at all, Google Calendar takes forever to load or update, Google Docs disconnects up to every 20 seconds or so, ..... Our UFB connection seems strong - we would know if it wasn't since we are using VoIP. The upload/download speeds are fine and our ISP cannot see anything wrong - the are no disconnects.

So - are others having issues with Google at the moment?

Thanks
John

1376727 2014-06-07 09:45:00 Its been fine here. Altho I dont use docs, or calendar. Just the search engine.

Only thing that was / is annoying is this cloud.opta.net widget, whatever it is on the NZ herald site making it go slow

1376728 2014-06-07 09:50:00 All fine here as well. Just logged into docs, did some alterations and they were instant.

Have you tried running Ccleaner - cleaning out all the temp files etc ?

1376729 2014-06-07 10:44:00 CCleaner would not do much good unfortunately :>) - running Ubuntu14.04 johnd (85)
1376730 2014-06-07 10:46:00 At one point when I was using Docs, it told me there was a server issue - told me to try again later. But this has been going on for 2 days now. johnd (85)
1376731 2014-06-07 11:37:00 Just a long shot -- When you close the browser, do you log out of google ( for Doc's, etc). Seen people have problems when they don't log out of some places. wainuitech (129)
1376732 2014-06-07 11:38:00 OK - can try that. I don't usually log out (and it has not been an issue up to now). johnd (85)
1376733 2014-06-07 11:39:00 I know if you dont log out of FB it can lock you out lol. And when you log in next time, you have to remember people through photos

Before you can login again

1376734 2014-06-08 00:16:00 Who's your ISP and what are you using for DNS? Chilling_Silence (9)
1376735 2014-06-08 08:10:00 Using SNAP! with their DNS servers presumably via DHCP. They suggested turning off IPv6 late last night in the FritzBox. Have just logged in for the first time today so will see how things go. johnd (85)
