1376626 2014-06-06 06:01:00 Anyone know if the Vodafone, Telecom or 2Degrees sticks work on the Win8 Surface tablets? (w/USB port of course ;) ). Can't seem to find any info on their info pages. Renegade (16270)
1376627 2014-06-06 06:50:00 If it works on Windows 8, it'll work on a Surface Pro. Not sure about Windows RT though. pcuser42 (130)
1376628 2014-06-06 07:18:00 Cheers. Will check and see what model they have, I think it may be the RT though. Renegade (16270)
1376629 2014-06-07 01:54:00 You could use a smartphone as a wi-fi hotspot with any of them if you have one available, easier than a usb stick in many cases. dugimodo (138)
1376630 2014-06-10 06:29:00 It's RT so no go there. She doesn't have a smartphone, but I saw one of these in action today with someone's iPad telecom.co.nz
Looks like an ideal solution in this case.

No, even Windows RT can connect to wireless networks ;) most smartphones can already do what the device you linked to does. :)

I'm using one of those Telecom Huawei E5220 WiFi hotspots. It all works perfectly here with 2x notebooks and 2x tablets in our motorhome.
Shop around though. I paid $59 with 2GB data at NL about six months ago.
I'm still churning through my 6 $29 t-stick transferred 2GB loaded SIM cards.
