1361631	2013-12-05 08:04:00	Hey guys This is on sale at The Warehouse for only $399 - a "loss leader" as the marketers say. I'm tempted, having just hefted my 56kg 32" Philips 60hz CRT dinosaur around in the process of spring cleaning ... I'd probably watch no more than 10 hours a week, Don't change much between TVOne or Prime and not being an audiophile, sound is not an issue for me. Does anyone have any advice on this particular brand or comments? Greg and Gary67 you both posted favourably in a previous thread. With more water under the bridge, in hindsight do you have any update? Thanks for any input you mcan offer :)	WalOne (4202)

Thanks for any input you mcan offer :) We have one pictures great but plug it into an amp and some decent speakers as the sound is awful on the TV speakers. Still going great no problems apart from the crap speakers	gary67 (56)

1361635	2013-12-05 21:06:00	I wouldnt assume the Famous brand TV's will last 10 years. In fact , paying big $$$$$ for a TV is hard to justify unless you have a alot of spare cash around. The Tech in TV's moves on & up at such a fast pace that big $$ TV soon become worth very little & are bettered by the more budget Brand Name TV's within a few years . My $2500 Samsung 40" is now worth $300 max . Its speakers arnt very good either, but how can anyone expect great sound from a 3" speaker ??	1101 (13337)
1361636	2013-12-05 22:59:00	They're actually surprisingly good, great value. As gary suggested, you may want to use alternate speakers, their built in speakers are rubbish. Usable, but rubbish. They're back by a 3 year warranty with The Warehouse, so you've got pretty good peace of mind on that front, tbh. We've got several in use for various things from an actual TV to display boards etc, and had no issues. Some of them the IR receiver for the remote is a bit finicky from an angle, and you need to be more straight-on for the remote to respond. This seems to be the older ones we had, the newer ones have not exhibited this. Picture quality is comparable to the significantly more expensive Panasonics we've also been using.	inphinity (7274)
1361637	2013-12-05 23:15:00	I've got the 24 inch. Not too worried it's not full HD. Its fine so far. Only got it because it was cheap at the time. And its got built in FV. Whereas, the old TV didnt. I had to use a FV receiver. And its got 3x HDMI. Handy for the bluray player / Xbox. And it uses less power, compared to the old TV. But yup the remote is a bit finicky. But, I can still change the channels, with the buttons on the side of it, if I have to	Speedy Gonzales (78)

Do you have any thoughts on the Sony Bravia 32 inch R400A Series BRAVIA TV Model: KDL32R400? I see a few of those on Trade Me for around $399. My current Philips flat screen is the same size, and on reflection I don't think a larger screen is a good idea in my unit; I've discounted the larger Veon on some of the negatives becoming apparent.
