2021-09-03 07:10:00 | What?? A known terrorist, known to be violent and followed around by cops.... So how then, did he come to have a weapon in a supermarket? Lamest thing I've heard. Jacinda says he was a known threat but "everything was done to protect NZers". Er no I disagree.

I have a feeling that the investigation in to how this occurred will mostly be fluff as well, people covering their own asses. |

2021-09-03 07:31:00 | Grew up in New Lynn opposite the paddock where Lynmall is now. There was a lot of toy things that went bang then, as we played Cowboys and "Native American Indigenous People" there in the 40's and 50's. Them was the days! Ken :)

2021-09-03 07:40:00 | Greens party excepted, why can't we deport these *******s? If they're known terrorists and a security threat, why aren't we doing what the Aussies are doing with the '501's? | allblack (6574) | |
2021-09-03 07:50:00 | Jesus, from stuff: The man who was shot dead by police after attacking a number of people at an Auckland supermarket had just last month been sentenced to one year of supervision for possessing Isis propaganda that promoted terrorism. The Crown had sought to charge him under the Terrorism Suppression Act but the application was declined. The man, who has name suppression, faced trial at the High Court at Auckland where a jury found him guilty of two charges of possessing objectionable publications and failing to comply with a search. www.stuff.co.nz

2021-09-03 08:43:00 | He got the weapon, a knife, by picking it up in the supermarket. The police should have been closer to him though. | zqwerty (97) | |
2021-09-03 08:46:00 | In July, Justice Sally Fitzgerald sentenced him to 12 months supervision. Do these Woke's ever get held to account?

2021-09-03 08:50:00 | no doubt he was being followed to find out who he meets up with. you don't need black scary gun to do a lot of damage. knives are the most common weapon, easy to find just pick it up off the shelf and they don't run out of ammo.

2021-09-03 08:55:00 | Problem is, to truely watch him you'd need at least 3 officers operating in shifts to cover every 24hr period, plus others to cover these officers for holidays, sick leave, etc, and they'd have to follow him like a shadow if they were to have any hope of stopping this. So the cheaper and far more effective alternative is to get the bleeding heart liberals who insist on respecting this guys civil rights to ****, and either deport or lock up the guy for as long as he is reasonably considered a threat. Best outcome from all this is that he won't have a chance to do it again. One fwit problem eliminated.
