| 1475999 | 2021-04-01 21:48:00 | My wife and I are doing a clean up and in one drawer found a motherboard, with integrated graphics, in its box, which certainly looks brand new. Cannot remember the story. Probably too old to be of use? It is an ASUS K8V-VM. Tried to get info from the web that I could understand. One thing I think I saw was mention of ME, which if I recall correctly was the Windows Millennium Edition. Presuming so, then too old to be of use? Maybe just give it to "Abilities", here on the North Shore for recycling? | Misty (368) | ||

You could always install Linux (may have to be an older version) and possibly use it as a NAS or storage device. or even XP and do the same. |

An interesting observation, Avantika, however, here on the North Shore of Auckland is a centre manned by people with disabilities, it is called "Abilities". Many times we have taken AA batteries, etc to them for recycling and most times it is free, but sometimes there is a small charge. Whatever, my wife and I are more than happy to pay a charge. The stuff gets used again and these people do something which is valued. Many thanks indeed to the responders, when I have a moment, we have grandkids visiting at this time, then I will list on Trademe for $1 reserve. |
