1475834 2021-03-26 07:50:00 I have just had an email from Spark - apparently...

it says 'Your webmail storage needs to be upgraded today'. Is this legit, or just another scam.

Additionally it says 'Note: a service fee is applicated as a verification process (This amount is refunded.)' The language is 'odd' - applicated. Really?

Comments please? Or am I just paranoid...

1475835 2021-03-26 07:56:00 Sounds like a scam, if you want log onto your spark account on their webpage to check or just ring them, just don't click anything or use web addresses from the Email, go direct or if you wanna trust me click this www.spark.co.nz dugimodo (138)
1475836 2021-03-26 19:35:00 Common sense tells you Spark sure isn't going to notify you about "storage". Nor ask for some fee to do so. piroska (17583)
1475837 2021-03-26 20:26:00 It will be a scam. The key there is the wording "a service fee is applicated as a verification process".

While ISP's don't give you a bottomless amount of email storage, its can happen if you do have a LOT of email.

Got a few clients whom do have GB's of email with Outloook.com and sometimes get messages saying their email is full. The free limit is 15 GB. When going in Via the web mail and looking - YEP full as. So either have a damn good clean out or pay for additional storage.

But thanks for confirming my view - deleted with joy!

1475839 2021-03-29 00:19:00 It is DEFINITELY A SCAM ... I was talking to Spark last week on another matter, but they did confirm it was not from them. SP8s (7813)
1475840 2021-03-29 00:21:00 But then again, there is a lot of paranoia going about these days ... SP8s (7813)
1475841 2021-03-29 00:36:00 Most probably a scam. Just leave it there. DrNum (17574)

1475843 2021-04-04 03:29:00 Spark won't let me open that... Another scam?

I don't really do Facebook - at least not in my name and not my DOB. I look, but don't submit.
