| 1480250 | 2021-09-04 05:45:00 | What is going to happen if a shopper kills another by throwing a can of Wattie's Baked Beans at them? All cans banned from supermarket shelves? Then toilet rolls? :D |

| 1480251 | 2021-09-04 07:54:00 | Not only that, the police presence at the supermarket and the withdrawal of scissors and knives from the shelves just brings to mind the old adage; shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted.:groan: | Roscoe (6288) | ||
| 1480252 | 2021-09-04 12:56:00 | They should have deported him years ago, but kiwis are too "nice". A friend in Tanzania was given 48 hours to leave the country, or he would be terminated. The Tax department had his passport removed until he paid his tax. He couldn't pay the Tax because the government had seized his assets. He built a false partition in the boot (trunk) of his car so before he reached the border he climbed into it, and his girlfriend drove through the border. Fortunately there was no other traffic so not much delay at customs. I was in Zambia, and was called into the local police station, where I was told to take my leave & not to come back, they gave me 7 days to disappear. Slight political difference of opinion! They could do it if they wanted to, too many bleeding hearts. |

Then toilet rolls? :D I have a feeling they will do what is normally done with high value items- put a placeholder in and you can exchange it for the item at the checkout. (for the knives) Doesn't seem like a half bad idea for dangerous items to be honest. |

[/QUOTE] No, toilet rolls are (apparently) in short supply and if such a person started attacking people with toilet rolls, no doubt he'd be trampled to death in short order as the toilet roll hoarders mobbed him. Yes, the lame excuses from the govt over Ahamed Aathil Mohamed Samsudeen. Samsudeen, a Tamil Muslim who arrived in New Zealand in 2011, was granted refugee status in 2013. He had claimed to have been tortured in Sri Lanka and had issues with authorities there due to his political background. He travelled to Aotearoa to seek refugee status. However, in 2018, he was notified this would be revoked, something Samsudeen challenged. A final decision on this had not been made by the time of the attack. And he was on bail...pathetic! |
