I've just had a long phone convo with my brother in Sydney on another handset, (same Uniden brand and model) and that one died after about 40 mins as well. So I'm wondering now whether it is just a characteristic of those particular phones. |

We've gotten a 6 Uniden DECT1515 cordless here which are about 6 years old with the proprietary Uniden batteries. They still can talk for a good hour or so as my M-in-law talks what seems for hours on them . Never done a battery replacement. |

Mine are DECT1625 with standard AAA rechargeables. |

I've just looked on the Uniden website and it says 10 hours talk time for the 1625, so now I really don't know what is going on. I might try giving them a ring. I think their help is OZ based, so I might have a chance of speaking to someone. |
