1479473 2021-08-16 05:26:00 It is. It means your battery isn't charging properly anymore, time for a replacement battery.

I thought that too, but my battery tester says the batteries are fully charged.

1479474 2021-08-16 05:46:00 I recently bought a Uniden portable. Uniden claim that when fully charged it will support up to 10 hours use on one charge. It can be left unplugged for up to 7 days. Bryan (147)

Yes, well I'm sure mine used to last for much longer. Maybe the issue is that the batteries charge OK, but discharge too quickly, either because of them being old, or some other fault. I might try some other batteries and see what that does. I'll also leave the phone off the base station and see how quickly they discharge.

1479476 2021-08-16 09:58:00 what kind of batteries? NiMH low self discharge batteries are far superior to the old nicads we used to use. The sort that come pre charged like eneloop and equivalents. dugimodo (138)

Well that's interesting/annoying. I took the batteries out to confirm they are Eveready AAA NIMH, and when I replaced them the phone refused to light up, and yes they are in the right way round :). I'll just leave it overnight to see if it sorts itself out.

1479478 2021-08-16 10:20:00 I've noticed that before too. It seems that removing the battery causes it to fully discharge and requires to be charged over quite a period of time. Bryan (147)

I'll report back.

1479480 2021-08-17 10:21:00 The phone sprung back into life after about 10 mins. I tried it again this morning and it did the same thing. Neither of the other phones behave that way. Tony (4941)
1479481 2021-08-17 19:25:00 God knows what they talk about? Probably how their husbands are handsome, witty, considerate and loving gentlemen.

It has been known you know...
I talked to a friend the other day for quite a while.

Her daughters first invite to school ball...with a boy, also new to the girl.
Buying a car....also for her...
What they'd thought to get, what they'd looked at already, and a suggestion I thought of, won't go into that but that led to a bit of discussion.

What happened to my mum the other day, a long story I won't repeat here, and my mums (lie) version which I discovered by talking to someone she knows who was there...
My visit later.

Yes you could email, or say it in a shorter collection of sentences but we didn't. So it took a good 40 mins especially the car discussion......

1479482 2021-08-18 01:00:00 Maybe they aren't making good contact with the terminals inside the phone, might need a clean or something. dugimodo (138)
