| 1475288 | 2021-03-06 00:35:00 | Your version is way behind, you need to let it update: The latest version of Windows 10 is the October 2020 Update. This is Windows 10 version 2009, and it was released on October 20, 2020. This update was codenamed “20H2” during its development process, as it was released in the second half of 2020. Its final build number is 19042 Type updates into your search box (Windows key + R then type updates) and see what is being offered, may be why your driver is not operating as you expect. Sometimes there is a hiatus on individual machines on updates whilst MS gets versions ready for older motherboards. |

| 1475289 | 2021-03-06 07:31:00 | Still unable to get updates, so I wondered whether the fact that I was behind a firewall (IPfire) had anything to do with it even though most outgoing requests should been passed through. Moved the PC to the other side of the firewall and the updates started coming down. In the first lot was a Nvidia driver for the K2200 amongst a lot of other stuff. Reboot and my two screens were up & running with no other work on my part needed. The second lot of updates took the OS to version 20H2 and a third lot had some security updates. Moved the PC back to behind the firewall and now it does the updates checks perfectly. ?? All now working great - thanks guys. |
