308698 2004-12-29 22:30:00 Hi there,

I was wondering whether anyone knew of software that allows you to control which area of a digital photo is cropped when it prints. I'm thinking along the lines of when you go into a digital camera store and the machine you print fromhas a red box which you can move left or right to choose what area of your photo gets printed.

Many thanks in advance
James

Why not use adobe photoshop or the like, crop there and print from there?

308700 2004-12-30 03:07:00 You shouldn't need Photoshop ($$$$). Just about any programme which will display a picture will let you select the area you want with the mouse and "Copy" it. Then File/New, and Paste. You can then save the new picture. Graham L (2)

Handiest graphics proggy you'll ever have, purely for it's simplicity especially when using for emailing pics
I've been using PShop for years but when I want quick & dirty Picasa is the one.
