It isnt free but it has an option to reset ie settings for hijacked browsers. And also has an option to rest the hosts file if this thing u have stuffs the hosts file up. |

| 308540 | 2004-12-29 07:45:00 | First clean out with Ccleaner ( www.ccleaner.com ) Then run CWShredder ( www.majorgeeks.com ) Then run Hijackthis ( www.spywareinfo.com ) Also, you can utilise Spybot S&D tools. Open Spybot, go, mode-advanced. Click on Tools, then tick all the boxes. Click on ( Left side) startup, and untick anything listed there that is not valid. Click on (Left side) BHO and remove any. Click on Browser Pages and change any that do not refer to IE. Click on Hosts file, and remove all but localhost. And on IE TWeeks, you can lock up the file. Good luck, and if you need to clarify anything, just post back here. I or others will assist you. |

| 308541 | 2004-12-29 07:54:00 | I . E . 6 has been taken over by 69sexsearch . com . (some sort of pop-up?) ECT how do I find what is running this and get rid of it Thanks Stu, After you have dealt with this, or even before, do your self a big favour . Get Firefox 1 and all the add blocking Ect you can find . Many here will help you with this . These MicroScam diseases will get continually worse and harder to deal with . Eventually some will start to attack Firefox but their task will be much harder as Firefox runs, as IE should . As an application on top of the O/S, not as a core part of the O/S . D . |
