| 308374 | 2004-12-28 19:28:00 | Hello,I'm having problems re-installing my Lexmark x74-75 printer.I deleted the printer name from within printers window.I then uninstalled software from add/remove programs window. But there is still an instance of the "Lexmark x74-75" folder in my C:/Program Files/. And in the folder are all the files.I tried deleting the folder but got message "cannot delete lxbbmcro.dll:access is denied.Make sure the disc is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use..." When I tried to run the Lexmark install CD I get message "...C:/Windows/System 32/autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications.Choose close to terminate the application..." Any ideas on how I can fully uninstall this printer then install again ? Thanks,Stash. |

| 308377 | 2004-12-28 21:22:00 | Thanks for your help.Found that XP Service pack 2 has a known issue with some installation discs.Microsoft site gave me a fix and Lexmark had a complete uninstall utility which I ran. Have installed printer successfully. Reason I was uninstalling printer because there were some issues printing so thought quick re-install would remedy. Thanks for your help guys, Stash |
