Hi guys , I connect the two computers up by ethernet cable through a router , now I can sharing the internet connection but not the files sharing , they said I dont have the permission and need to go to the administrator to change the config ¬ , but really , I have no idea how to do so ¬ can anyone give me a detailed help ? Try making a user on the 2nd PC with the EXACT SAME username & password as what you are using to log into the first PC. If it doesnt have a password, give it one! |

well are they in the same workgroup?? if so you could always just go to the file permissions and make a specific setting for the other user(takes time and is ultimately a last resort if no other solution is found) |

If you're networking through a router you need straight network cable, not crossover, then all will be well
