308656 2005-01-02 21:56:00 Try this www.daisymm.com

Unable to recognize the device under Windows XP.
A12. In device manager ->USB controllers ->USB root hub->power management unselect the option that allows windows automatically to turn off the device. If you have more than one root hub you have to unselect the above mentioned option for that hub on which you will connect the device (Diva player, MusicPen or PhotoClip)

And follow the pics here

It always pays to check the manufacturer's site for FAQ and answers

308657 2005-01-02 22:00:00 I would also check and see what version of the firmware that player has. It may pay to update it as well, if u can..... Speedy Gonzales (78)
308658 2005-01-03 00:51:00 areba ..

hammer (1735)
308659 2005-01-03 00:53:00 Did u try unchecking all the USB hub entries u have??

In case u unticked the wrong one??

308660 2005-01-03 00:59:00 Also reboot after u unitck that option under all the USB hub entries. That might fix it. Take the player out before u reboot. Once Windows load put it back in the USB port.

Unless theres a switch as well or something on this MP3 player that needs to be turned on?

308663 2005-01-03 01:36:00 Hmm ok does this player appear by name under device manager somewhere??

If so, click on its entry and do the same thing. See what happens.

I would update the firmware. What version of the firmware is on this player??

I take it u HAVE installed the drivers for this player so it runs on XP??
