Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3', Server: 'pop3.xtra.co.nz', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D The only way therefore is to go to entry and connect to, what am I to do to clear the error message?. |

| 308606 | 2004-12-29 16:39:00 | If you connect sometimes, then there is nothing wrong with your settings. It seems to me that this problem is probably caused by "protection" apps. Zone Alarm can do it and so can SP1. They seem to take a while to sort out what ports to use. The bit about incorrect user name and password is incorrect and mis- leading. Jack |
