I have a MAPED HardDrive over a network, the harddrive is installed in my old coputer/server and i have it as a maped HHD on my laptop. Is there any wau I can still use is like I usaly do on the laptop, but somehow lock it from the old computer/server so people that use it can't get in to that HHD evin thu its installed on that computer? just so it can be mapped to my laptop and thats that.

309255 2004-12-31 10:05:00 What OS is the old pc with the drive in it running? In XP natively, and in 9x with TweakUI you can select not to display the drive in My Computer. This would not stop someone from accessing the drive, say from a Dos prompt though.
