309532 2005-01-01 10:07:00 Hi...I've got some WAV files I want to transfer to a music CD. They range from 10 to 30 mb each. What's the best way to assess how many will fill a cd. If I try to send too many to the disk, will the result be a coaster? Thanks for any anti coaster tips....Ken paradox (1082)
309533 2005-01-01 11:30:00 Add them to the likes of Quintessential Media Player, or WinAmp. Make a playlist and as long as its under 74mins then its sweet.

Basically for Audio you have upto 74 mins (Although most CDs nowadays are 700MB/80mins) for any audio.

Cheers

309534 2005-01-01 21:03:00 All I do is open Nero and drag as many .wav files over to be burnt until Nero says the disc is full then burn it. :)

Just make sure you don't let it go into the red, or even yellow (I think it's yellow, anyway).

309535 2005-01-02 10:32:00 Thanks for the replies folks...Going fine now. My software is B's Recorder Gold which came with my new drive. It has me scratching my head a lot after several years with Roxiio software, but I'm getting used to it now and it seems to be pretty reliable. No coasters with the WAV files yet. Cheers Ken. :) paradox (1082)
309536 2005-01-02 14:58:00 For anyone who is interested, there is an excellent CD/DVD burning software program called 'CDBurnerXP Pro3'. It has a progress bar at the bottom of the window to let you see exactly how much of the disc is used/free.

This great program is entirely Free! To regester it, if you want to, just send the programmer a pretty poast card with stamp' the same. The guy deserves a medal! Vince
