2005-01-02 21:44:00 | Hi there! I started to use SR and quite happy with my 20 words per minute after correcting mistakes. Hope it will keep improving. I have Pent 2 with 500Mhz and 200 Mb Ram, Win XP home. That is not good enough, but still does the job. I wont to create second user profile, but there is no "Speech" on control panel, while it must be according to Help. Would like to hear any comments.

(pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) ?? The poster wants to activate the existing SR (speech-to-text) in Office 2003 for the second profile, not install a text-to-speech application... |

2005-01-07 01:33:00 | MS agent works with XP, provided the application you run supports it. Bear in mind it's the reverse of what you wanted though. Its not speech to text, it's the opposite text to speech.

2005-01-07 07:20:00 | Hi guys! This MS agent is more interesting that what I originally have asked for. But it does not work yet. Downloaded all files and started to open: I right clicked and in the dialog dropdown clicked "Open" for all files in the folder "My downloads". After that also went through "Run" for all .exe files. Some gave message "Access denied", others INF installation failed. What can be wrong? What I was supposed to see? Does "Open" mean "install"?

2005-01-07 09:10:00 | Hi Gonzales! All installed. Have MSagent and Character icons on my desctop. Speech recognition works in MS word. I thought MSagent can talk to me and I can talk to it and it will serve as interface: walk around screen and perform comands. I double click those icons and no response. Or I am dreaming?
