| 310167 | 2005-01-03 07:42:00 | I would like help with the loading of Mandrake 10. I started the loading of Mandrake 10 all was ok untill it asked for info on a drive and came up with this FOUND "parport-pc" "imm," "ppa" interfaces do you have another When I clicked on yes I got a lot of drives I guess seagate was one of them. When I clicked on no I got an error message. When I clicked on show hardware I got a list which I can only guess was the motherboard and maybe the harddrive the might be others but I cannot descipher them and it also says in the help that you might have to load them manually, how do you do that and what do you write in :badpc: Do you know where I can get step by step instructions on how to load tis operating system |

Are you using a text mode installation as opposed to the graphical installer? Is this an old computer that you are installing Mandrake on? You can find some installation guides here: Installation with DrakX (doc.mandrakelinux.com) Installing Mandrake 10 - A Supplementary Guide (member.melbpc.org.au) |
