311017 2005-01-05 21:36:00 Hi i got a problem with my CD-RW i am using cyberdrive 48/24/48/16 combo drive to burn dics. At half way buring a disc the cd-writer causes a write error. And it's not recoverable. It happened several times. I tried different brand cd-R s and i am using nero 6.3.3 ultra version to burn discs My cd writer is nearly 1 years old and the problem started from 2 to 3 months.

What IDE channel is the CD Writer on? And is it master or slave?

Try putting it on it's own channel.

311020 2005-01-06 19:52:00 I usually burn my discs at 24-40 X speed. MY cd-writer is in master But i dont know what IDE channel is it on how do i find out polo (6383)
311021 2005-01-06 20:29:00 If it is Master, its likely to be on secondary IDE as the HDD is usually Master on the primary .

The question is - what else is on that secondary IDE channel? Is there anything else on the flat ribbon cable that the CD Drive uses?

If not, it's already on it's own channel .
