310692 2005-01-05 00:31:00 I recently spent a heap of time downloading a big 50 meg NASA photo but when I went to save it instead of it saving the page it began to download the photo yet again. Solution anyone. Can I instead having download as a page type in the address and save straight into the folder its to go
By the way browser used was firefox.

310693 2005-01-05 01:34:00 Right Click - Save picture as ??

Why would you want to save it as a page anyway?

Have I missed something here? :confused: :confused:

310694 2005-01-05 02:09:00 That's how it works..

If you've already loaded the image in IE/Whatever then it should be saved in your cache (Temporary Internet Files) directory, you can pull the image out of there pretty easy, just arrange icons by size, no doubt it'll be one of the largest files there.

Back to the webpage, right click on the image and select save image as, but don't save it, just take the default save image filename and copy that into clipboard, go back to the image in your cache, right click > rename and paste.

Cut/copy that image to a folder on your desktop called "NASA".

Then you can look at the source of the webpage through IE, select all and copy/paste into notepad, don't close yet.

Go to the folder you saved the image to, copy the filename to clipboard.

Then back in notepad press Ctrl+F and paste to find the image name in the HTML.. There should be something like this:

<img src="/blah/blah/img/IMAGEFILENAME.EXT">

Change that to:

<img src="IMAGEFILENAME.EXT">

Save as NASA.html in the folder NASA on your desktop.

Repeat proccess for all images you want to keep.

Good luck.
