310696 2005-01-05 00:03:00 Hi peeps!
I have two different sticks of RAM. 1 x 128MB 133MHz and 1 x 128MB 10MHz. Now I've just been told by a man in a shop who must know as he is a compooter teknision that these two sticks can not be used together. But am I right in thinking that I can use them together, it's just that the speed of the RAM will be down at 100MHz not 133MHz?????
Can any one let me know as the speed is not really of importance to me, but the amount of RAM is and I may just go out and get a single stick of larger amount any way!!

Regards,

310697 2005-01-05 00:38:00 just plug em in..........if it works fine if it dont then there will be NO harm done..... drcspy (146)
310698 2005-01-05 01:33:00 Try swapping them around if at first they dont work - Some mobo's like the slowest to be first, others like the fastest to be first. Chilling_Silence (9)

They should be able to work together, under the condition that the 133Mhz stick will clock down to the slower speed at 100Mhz. There will be no harm for trying.

310701 2005-01-05 04:59:00 You should be fine. The ram will just run at the slower speed.
I'm doing the same kind of thing myself . Have 1 stick at 333Mhz and 2 at 400Mhz. The ram just runs at 333Mhz :)
